Colorado's Working Cattle and Sheep Ranch

Cross Mountain Ranch is one of the most spectacular and unique real working ranches in the West. The ranch is surrounded by the Flat Top Wilderness area in Northwest Colorado and has over 60,000 acres of private land and an assortment of federal, state and private leases and permits which altogether span close to 400,000 acres.

We offer amazing recreational programs, comfortable accommodations, excellent food, and genuine western hospitality. Picture yourself in the majestic Rocky Mountains fishing for trout, helping our wranglers push cows between pastures, or just relaxing on the porch with a glass of iced tea and a spectacular view. You may catch a glimpse of the antelope which roam our sage hillsides, the huge herds of wild elk which graze among the aspen groves, or an endangered bald eagle fishing in our rivers. Participating in our annual cattle drive or helping with lambing season is a sure way to bring out the cowboy or cowgirl in you!
